The Cryptic cave mini dungeon i Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom won't take too long to complete, but its various puzzles may still bother some players. This guide takes readers through the rooms of the dungeon so they can work towards completing the main quest: A crack in the Gerudo Desert.
Cryptic Cavern Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom Guide
Entrance
Once you enter the Crpytic Cavern from the Gerudo Desert, you'll be greeted by a glowing blue switch and a locked door. Go ahead and strike out Tornado echo (they are all around the desert) and slide it on the power switch to activate it, open the door in the process.
Second room
In the next room you will see a locked door that needs a small key. Go right for now and make your way to the door on the far right. If you need help getting past the wind cannons, we have only placed a few beds in front of them.
Third room
In the next room there will be some enemies to fight and several piles of sand (as well as a locked door). Defeat the monsters and the locked door will open. Go through it.
Fourth room
In this larger room, there is a switch on the left side near some spinning spiked monsters. You have to make it there and use Tornado Echoas we did at the entrance, to press the power switch.
Once activated, a small the chest will appear on the opposite side of the walland it has one Small key Inside. This is what we will use to open the locked door back in the “second” room. And once you open it, you'll find a solitary room with a single staircase leading down.
Downstairs
This will take you to a 2D section. There's a switch behind a locked gate to the right, but we can't do anything with it yet. For now, go down the ladder and walk past the spinning blade enemy. We found that the easiest way to get past the first one is to just jump on top of it when it goes right (or just conjure up a pot and throw it at the Pathblade).
You can break that pot to the left of the second Pathblade to find a hidden one Fairywhich can be put into a Fairy Bottle to keep for later.
To grab the chest further down in the area, you can simply stand across from it and push X to use Bind. Pull the chest down to the ground and then you can walk up to it and open it to find 20 Rupees.
Continue to the area to the right to find another pair of Pathblades and piles of sand. Just keep climbing the ladders, but when you get to the point where there's a big gap between you and the last ladder, try to tie yourself to a Tornando, like we did in the picture above.
Just keep going right and you'll eventually find a huge rock structure that you can pull with your Bind skill (X). This will finally drain the sand that blocked access to Gerudo Sanctum, next big dungeon i Echo of wisdom. If you need a walkthrough for that, we've got you covered.
Instead of going down the stairs to the previous areas you went through, just go up the stairs to the left to find that switch/locked gate we saw when we first entered the 2D section.
