Yoshi-P discusses Final Fantasy 14 that ends PS4 support

Yoshi-P says that Sony has hardware regulations “related to the limit of data”, and that the developers had previously received an increase in the limit from Sony himself. However, Sony has apparently informed Square Enix that it reaches the limit on how far it can drive the system.

Yoshi-P confirmed that he and the team want to support as many platforms as they can as long as possible, but that the hardware will eventually be “at its limits when it comes to their technology.” When that time comes, PS4 support will end. But he also added that before that happens, he would personally give clear reasoning and communicate it directly to the players.
