This article contains spoilers from my Hero Academia's final war.
Over the past year, many popular Shonen -Manga has stopped, and this includes My hero Academy. Kohei Horikoshis My hero Academy Manga ended in 2024, along with other series like Jujutsu Kaisen. This is led to many fans, especially those who are not satisfied with the end.
Yet, while My hero Academy Manga has stopped, the animated series is still waiting for its last season, My Hero Academia season 8. MHA's final season will contain the biggest fights in the entire series, and with its release date that is now lined closer to the fans how many episodes this last season will be. Although not officially confirmed, My Hero Academia Season 8 is rumored to have only 11 episodesWhich is quite a bit of content to look forward to.
My hero Academia may only run for 11 episodes
Another anime will take MHA's place on December 20
As mentioned, My Hero Academia's last season may only get 11 episodes. There has been no official statement on this, but the fans have quickly noticed that another anime series is planned in Mha's Time slot from December 20 onwards. Since my Hero Academia season 8 begins on October 4, 2025, mathematics checks out. There are only 11 weeks between these two dates, which means a total of 11 sections.
Why is MHA's last season just 11 episodes?
Lack of content to animate for the last season
Fans may wonder how 11 episodes are even enough for MHA's last season, but it makes sense. If anything is 11 sections more than some fans foreseen. Currently, the MHA Manga has only 33 chapters that have not been adapted to anime. With 11 sections, that is on average 3 chapters per sectiona fixed number. The truth is that anime just doesn't have enough content to do it more than 11 sections. There are some kinds to cover, for example:
-
All maybe vs. all for one
-
Bakugo vs all for one
-
Deku vs Shigaraki/All for a
-
Epilogue content
Many fans would also like the epilogue animated. It is still feasible, even with 11 sections. It is also possible that the last section will be longer than usual as goodbye to this iconic series that will be missing from fans all over the world.
My Hero Academia Manga has ended. The story contains 431 chapters for fans to read. All of these chapters are on Manga Plus. When it comes to Anime, the series is still waiting for its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be seen at Crunchyroll.
