Borderland 4's fish grenades make me wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes

The Borderland Series are not stranger to strange weapons, whether it is track and its notorious ear -making sounds or the probe and its questionable, suggestive design. In fact, the series has flourished with having such weapons in its arsenal as part of what gives it the distinct identity that it has long maintained. But just when I thought things couldn't be a lurker, here's coming Borderlands 4 with its fish grenades. Just if you missed it let me repeat it for emphasis – Borderlands 4 Has fish grenades.

Borderlands 4 Co-OP Vex Solo

In a new interview with IGN on Gamescom, when asked about what strange weapons players can see in Borderlands 4Gearbox's Randy Pitchford said: “Fish grenades.” As someone would do, the interviewer of course asked, “fish that are grenades or grenades that are blown up in fish?” A question to which Pitchford simply answered: “Yes.” Now this makes me think about my attitude towards plundering in Borderlands 4Namely when it comes to what I want to get out of the experience. Instead of looking for the best gun in the game, I am curious to see how deep this rabbit hole goes by starting on a quest to get the strangest weapon that can be imagined, even if it is not the most powerful.

Borderland's 4's fish grenades are hopefully just the tip of the iceberg

I am exhausted with Borderland's arms template

I know weapons are the heart and soul in Borderland Experience, but I cannot deny how exhausted I have been to be one of its main focus. To beat a Borderland Games and then have a “playoffs” that centers around trying to get the most powerful weapon has left the grinding that feels a bit like a hamster wheel. When I have conquered everything in the game, what is the point of trying to get an even better weapon than the weapons I already have? It became the question at the forefront when I dared Borderlands 3after games, and that has been a problem I have had as we approach Borderlands 4S emissions. That is why these so -called fish grenades have my attention, because I see them as a potential review for that grinding.

Borderland 4's strange weapon gives me a new grinding

There must be a reason why the first thing that came to Pitchford's mind in connection with strange weapons is fish grenades, right? Sure, it sets fish grenades up to at least be the standard for weapons weirdness in Borderlands 4But that does not necessarily mean that it is the strangest. If these grenades really are fish floating around in my hand until I eventually throw them, and they explode into a massive school of piranhas that eat the meat from my enemies' legs, I can't wait to get hold of one. But I don't want to stay there, for fish grenades can only be the tip of an iceberg that gives me another kind of grinding Borderlands 4 – one that can keep me busy for hours at the end.

Borderland 4 makes me finally play a siren

Give me a crying onion grenade that explodes and causes my enemies to burst in tears and refuel their accuracy as a result. Or a trombone champion shotgun that makes the noise from a trombone when fired but changes the pitch depending on how high or low I have it directed (a reference to the Nintendo Switch game Trombon champion). I even take a Voodoo Doll Assault rifle that fires an enemy type, and when I shoot it, it handles damage to all enemies of that type. In view of the fact that Borderlands 4 Have a huge 30 billion unique weapons, I would say that everything is possible. With that in mind I'm on my way into the next Borderland Games on a mission to find the strangest weapon in the pile, although it takes me hundreds of hours to do so.
