Ghostrunner Developer to a level to make a first person soul -like with the title Vaver Mortis. The upcoming game, which was announced during the opening show for the Gamescom 2025, promises a dark fantasy -pre -embellishment of Napoleon War, and mixes an already sad environment with other worldly horror and layered mysteries.
Polish studio to one level is best known for Ghostrunner Series, released over a three-year period ending at the end of 2023. With an average OpenCritic score of 80, main line Ghostrunner Games are among the most universally acclaimed action platforms in recent years, especially among the non-family-friendly offers.
A soul -like forged in horror and history
On August 19, another level revealed its latest project, Vaver Mortis. A first person's soul-like embracing historical fiction, the title was announced with a two-and-one-half-minute trailer premiere during the Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live. The video focuses primarily on establishing the game's distinct environment: early 19th century Eastern Europe, under Napoleon's bloody-fox if it is fully conquest of the old continent. Vaver Mortis Will get players to take control of William, a foot soldier from the French Emperor Army that falls on the battlefield in the game's opening moment, but is then mysterious to life.
When William returns from the dead, he discovers a plague-ride Europe filled with monsters and other kinds of horror. Vaver Mortis Is planned to deliver a “brand new grip on the soul -like experience”, with different parts of the popular genre and at the same time pulls from another Nivåa's own opus, says the company. Motley affects aside, compared to the frenetic rate in Ghostrunner Games, the upcoming soulsliken will be a consciously slower experience, and emphasizes precision in motion and methodical play over pure momentum. Vaver Mortis is focused on a launch of 2026 for PC and the current GEN penal consoles without Nintendo. It will be published by Lyrical Games, a lyric media subsidiary.
