Your playlist in Madden 26 Decides how your players set up and where they move when the ball has been snapped. It is an extremely important part of the game on both sides of the ball, and having a varied playlist of games that keeps your opponent to guess and make the best of your players' abilities will make points covers and turn off the opposite team's crime much easier. In franchise mode, Ultimate Team and Quick Play, the game will automatically choose a playlist for you. However, it is possible to change the Playbook in Madden 26 to another team's (or a custom) if you prefer.
How to change PlayBooks in Madden 26 Quick Play
If you want to change the game book you use in a quick match against AI or a friend, go to 'Settings' from the main menu and under the first tab 'Game Options' you will find options for both the offensive and defensive PlayBook. Choose one of these and then cycle through them to find the playlist for the team/ coach that you want to be standard when you enter the game.
By default, these are set to be team -specific. This is the best option for newcomers who want to remain competitive. But tactics or people who want to experiment with teams and playbooks may want to try to play with their favorite team and use the tactics from another.
How to change playlist in Ultimate Team
Replacing the playlist in the Ultimate Team works a little differently, as you have to have the card in the team's playlist that you want to use. By default, your MUT game book will be the “favorite team” you chose when you first upload Madden 26. But if you want another playlist, you must get the card by either getting it in a package or buying it from the auction house. Keep in mind that you need a mut -coin if you want to buy one from the auction house.
Once you have received the card in the gaming book you want to use, you must then equip it. This is done by going to “My Team” from the main menu in the Ultimate Team and then choosing “range”.
From here, go to the “Playbooks and Visuals” tab. On this screen you will then see 'Crime' and 'Playbook 2' as two options on the top row next to your head coach. Choose the playlist you want to change and then select the card for what you want to replace it with.
'Playbook 2' Refers to your defensive playlist, which is used for the defensive formations that your team will set up.
How to change the playlist in franchise mode
To change the playlist in franchise mode, go to “Manage Team” from “Home” menu and then select “Team Schemes.” Here you will find both the “Offensive Game Book” and “Defensive Game Book” where you can cycle through all 32 teams' game books. When you are satisfied with your decisions, you will return from this menu and your choices will be saved.
Changing your playlist in franchise mode can be particularly useful if you have made a fantasy draft, as your team's attributes can be completely different from the original game book was built around. As such, another team's playlist can fit your team better now.
Custom playbooks can only be selected in franchise mode by selecting “advanced settings” after selecting the “Play Full Game” option. Each team's playlist will be shown here again, but all custom playlist you have made or downloaded will also appear. This must be set before each game.
