Sakonji Urokodaki & Giyu Tomioka
Taught the future water hashira tricks in trade
Sakonji Urocodaki is one of the most important characters in the series. This masked Sensei has taught some of the most remarkable characters in the series, including Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka.
As far as the latter is concerned, it is clear that Giyu was a talented student, because he could master the water breath and created a unique feature of his own who could easily decipimate demons. While Sabito's loss cut both him and Sakonji deeply, Tanjiro was able to help Giyu shake off this grief and maintain his friend's legacy.
Tamayo & Yushiro
A friendly demon and her subordinates working together to design a cure
Tamayo is one of the more fascinating characters in the series, with this friendly demon that gives Tanjiro hoping that Nezuko was not alone. She tries to design a cure to return to people to humans while she is constantly on the run from Muzan and his weapons.
After finding a man on the verge of death in her care, she had no choice but to turn Yushiro into a demon to help him survive. They both form a close band after that, with Yushiro who is severely protective for Tamayo and learn lots under her wing.
Gyomei Himejima & Kocho sisters
Saved the sisters and eventually taught them to defend themselves against demons
Shinobu and Kanae Kocho are two of the most important characters in the series, but both could have hit an early end if it had not been for Gyomei's rapid intervention. He saved the duo from being killed by a demon when they were young, and they eventually asked Gyomei to take them as students.
He was reluctant, but Gyomei eventually invoked and taught them everything they needed to know. This made it possible for Kanae to become flower Hashira while Shinobi became the insect Hashira, which made it clear that he guided them in the right direction.
Sakonji Urokodaki & Tanjiro Kamado
Helped Tanjiro to learn to defend against mighty demons
After seeing their family being killed by demons, with Nekuzo as the only survivor that turned into a demon, Tanjiro lost almost all hope. But he decided to live on for his sister's sake and asked urocodaki to teach him water breathing. After facing many attempts, Tanjiro was able to learn this complex battle position.
As brutal as Urocodaki's trials were, it was clear that he regretted putting a small child in such a dangerous position. Seeing Tanjiro coming back made him feel very proud of the determined boy, becoming Hans Sensei right now and teaching him the art of breathing water.
Kyojuro rengoku & mitsuri kanroji
Mitsuri developed love -breathing under Flame Hashira's watchful glance
Mitsuri is a monstrous strong woman who can use love breathing to a great effect on her enemies. Her backstory reveals that she learned under Kyojuro's watchful look and was able to develop an original breathing style after seeing her teacher's flame breathe in action.
The news of his death deeply affected her, and she decided to become even stronger and live up to her master's legacy. It is a good relationship that adds lots of Mitsur's character and makes her one of the best hashira in the series.
Jigoro Kuwajima & Zenitsu Agatsuma
Zenitsus Sensei always believed in him, which made Jigoro's passing so much harder to stomach
So much of a goofball as Zenitsu may seem, it is clear that he loved his sensei deeply. Jigoro may have been hard against him, but he could see Zenitsu's natural talent at Thunder breathing, considering how skilled he was to use the first and most important form of thunderstorms. During his training, Zenitsu could feel that this love originates from Hans Sensei, who drove him to try harder despite his cowardly nature.
Zenitsu's devotion to Hans Sensei is what drives him to take on the demonic kaigaku in the battle in the last bow of DemonsklayerSomething that fans of anime are undoubtedly eager to see in action.
