A new leak that makes the rounds online claims to reveal details about the generation 10 Pokemon Games, but fans should take the information with a grain of salt. Generation 9 Pokemon game, Scarlet and VioletReleased all the way back in 2022, and so is franchise fans for the next generation to hit store shelves.
Some expected generation 10 Pokemon Games to be revealed at the latest Pokemon present the event, but the games were a no-show. It has since been claimed by reputable sources that Gen 10 Pokemon Games will be revealed at the next Pokemon Presents event that is expected to take place on February 27, 2026. At that time, Pokemon Fans will get their first look at what Gen 10 games have in the store, and if previous generation reveals is any indication, they will also look at the new starters.
What Gen 10 Pokemon Starters looks like, based on the leak
Recently, a post on 4chan claimed to reveal details about the generation 10 Pokemon game. Normally 4chan leaks would be ignored immediately, but it has been legitimate Pokemon Leaks from the site earlier. Nevertheless, fans should definitely take any of the supposedly leaked claims with a solid grain. Still, they are interesting to think about, and it will be fun to see if the “leaks” matched with something legitimate when the games have actually been revealed. One of the most interesting pieces in the leak claims that Generation 10 Pokemon Starters will consist of a grass/fight of wooden horse, a fire/mental phoenix and a water/ghost “dead skin of a snake.”
It has long been rumored that the generation 10 Pokemon Games will be set in a region inspired by Greece, and it is therefore no surprise for the starters to stick to that theme. According to the 4chan post, the new region is called Xenia and will consist of several islands. The region's mascot legends will probably be a flying horse that is a pure flight type and a horse with fins that is a pure water type. There will also probably be a goat of normal type, an ant bug type, a bug/poison type mosquitoes and water/air fishermen of flight.
That has been the norm in recent generations, Pokemon Gen 10 is also rumored to have new hold on existing creatures. These will apparently consist of a new development for Hoothoot and Noctowl which will be a psychic/flight type, as well as an electric type variant of Meowth. Battle Gimmick is described as “hyper ability” given by Divine Pokemon, which sometimes leads to new forms. An example given in the leak is a divine Raichu that is an electric/dark type.
The leak continues to say that the evil team in Gen 10 Pokemon Games are known as “kratos”, which would be a red flag in view of War god Games, but someone called Kratos is found in Greek mythology. Strangely enough, the leak claims that the games will have “no competition scene” and that there will be “cross breeding” with an example given that Glaiger and Litleo become a manticore. These are the most difficult to believe in claims in the assumed leak, and again fans should not put too much stock in any of this, but it will be fun to see how much everything matches the real deal, if at all.
