It has been a little while since we last got a new Darksiders game, with Darksiders Genesis that launched all the way back in 2019. Last year, THQ Nordic announced that Darksiders -dry would end up during one of its exhibitions, which gave us a short shot of the recolved council to get our appetite.
Now, almost exactly a year later, THQ Nordic has lost the secret and announced Darksiders 4 during this summer's THQ Nordic Showcase. Unfortunately, we did not get much information about the title – which indicates that it may take a while before we can actually play it – but it seemed to confirm that all four riders will be involved this time.
It is also a disappointment that we did not see how the game will actually play. The series has been a Mishmash of genres since its inception, which goes from a 3D zelda-like, to a Diablo-like, to a soul-like and then to a top-down, twin shooter. We have to wait for another update to see what Darksiders 4 will do, but I personally hope for a return until its notch and slash.
