The upcoming Invincible Vs Is finally to bring the series Gory Subversion of Superheroics to the video game world. Given the incredible demand for such a while for the franchise, it is no wonder that a great deal of caution is taken to get Invincible Vs Right.
Quarter Up's Invincible VsWhile it will not be on shelves for a while, the fans give a lot to chew on already. An even flow of teaser content has come out on the game, and more and more fans are boarding the hype train. Game Rant sat down with the series creator Robert Kirkman, who talked about his own commitment to the upcoming project.

Keep control of IP
Robert Kirkman created Invincible 2003 in collaboration with illustrators Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley and have stuck to the series since. Kirkman not only wrote all 144 issues of the comic (including Spinoffs), but he has also retained a writing position on the animated series in addition to his executive producer role. Walker and Ottley are stuck with the franchise in a similar way, with the previous work on the show as the main character designer and the latter as a consultant for the series.
This is unusual for many adaptations of comic material, which is something Kirkman acknowledged. In his discussion about his role at Invincible VsHe talked about how he, Walker and Ottley have all had input on Quarter Up's battle game:
“Especially in this game, all down to the key art that is released when we announce characters, we approve all that. We are involved in every poly design and rough initial design, up to the final polish there, you know,” Oh, I think this guy has bigger calves “or” I think this guy may have more prominent knees. “Corey and Ryan come in there and they are like,” This line from this suit winds around the body in this way, it must be wound around the body in this way. “I mean, regardless of the media, we make sure it is 100% an authentic experience for fans because we take all this very seriously, and we want it to be as good as we can possibly.”
In addition, Kirkman talked about the importance of keeping this level of creative control over Invincible franchise. He went on to explain the details of his posts not only Invincible VsBut the whole of IP's width:
“Every day it is just a barrage of similar,” Oh you can see how this action figure goes, “and” We make this sweater “, and” here is this role -playing game, “and you have to look through everything and make sure that is how you want to be. This and has the place at the table that we have any time done.”
Many of the most iconic characters, the places and stories in the Kingdom of the series have been designed by creators who work under employment agreements, which means that writers rarely reap the benefits of extremely successful ideas. It is unfortunate that the control that Kirkman and his collaborators have over the future of Invincible is the exception and not the norm for the industry, as many creators do not have the same “seat at the table” as Kirkman describes. Hopefully the success for Invincible Will inspire more writers and artists to look for greater representation and ownership, whether through collective negotiations in existing workplaces or the creation of new companies – as was the case with Image Comics itself.
