Greedfall 2's Early Access Roadmap explained

As GreedFall 2: The Dying World entering early access, players may want to know what the road ahead looks like for the game. Fortunately, they're in luck, as Spiders recently revealed a thorough rundown of what players can expect throughout GreedFall 2s early access period.

Spiders had already revealed an early access roadmap for GreedFall 2but it has more recently provided a more detailed roadmap with explicit information that the previous roadmap excluded. Judging by the latest early access roadmap for GreedFall 2Spiders have big plans.

Breaking Down GreedFall 2's Early Access Roadmap

GreedFall 2 will introduce the main quest along with multiple regions, companions and skill trees at launch

While there will likely be even more content added than shown on the roadmap, the bulk of the GreedFall 2The Early Access content will be available at launch. As expected, GreedFall 2s main quest will be introduced when its early access period begins on September 24, taking players to three unique explorable regions – Teer Fradee, Thynia and Uxantis.

The latest early asset roadmap for the game has also revealed that players will get to meet six of them GreedFall 2s companion at launch, a number that was previously unspecified. Currently, only five of the companions have been introduced – Nilan, Fausta, Sybille, Alvida and Ludwig – and with two more post-launch, players will eventually be able to recruit eight companions in GreedFall 2. Finally, players will have access to six different skill trees at launch, so they will be able to experiment with different play styles.

The date of GreedFall 2s early access patch for the fall has not been revealed yet, but it can be assumed that it will arrive sometime between October and November. With this update, a new companion will be added GreedFall 2along with new companions for what will probably be all seven companions by that time. The main story of the game will also be extended, perhaps ever closer to fulfillment GreedFall 2s 30% model, which sees about a third of the game available at the end of early access.

GreedFall 2 will also introduce a new region with its fall early access patch, which also appears to include a hub area. Additionally, two new skill trees will be added to the game with this patch, allowing players to continue to evolve their builds for GreedFall 2s improved combat.

GreedFall 2 will also receive a major winter update during its early access period, which could arrive anytime between December and January, and possibly even later. Just like the fall update did, GreedFall 2s winter update will add a new companion and new companions, but its biggest addition will be a crafting system. Spiders have been very protective against GreedFall 2s crafting system, meaning there's likely a lot in store for players there. In addition to these updates, GreedFall 2 will get new regional quests for Teer Fradee and Uxantis, along with yet another new skill tree and some new abilities to boot.

GreedFall 2 has even more content planned beyond the roadmap

There is even more content planned GreedFall 2 beyond what is explicitly shown on the roadmap, with much of it inspired by community feedback. What has been confirmed to be added so far, however, is even more of the main story, a new region and local quests, new side quests, new faction quests, new skill trees and abilities, an expanded max level, a photo mode, and more. Spiders clearly have a lot planned GreedFall 2 during early access, so players should wait.
