The Ghost of Yotei website reveals new plot information, weapons and more

The official Ghost of Yotei website has randomly been updated with some new information parts, including more background on the protagonist, ATSU and details about her weapons.

Outside the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Astro Bot, Playstation was surprisingly quiet during most of 2024, which set some great expectations this year. So far, it looks like a big year for the platform, with two large editions promised at the end of 2025 – Death Stranding 2: on the beach and the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei.

How much does it matter that Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding skipped gaming permits?

Sony's two big games this year were absent, but it can be more tactical than it seems.

We have known that Sucker Punch worked on a follow -up of Ghost of Tsushima quite a lot since that game was released, but we finally received confirmation towards the end of last year. Despite how many chances that Playstation has had to show Yotei since then, we have not heard anything more about the sequel ever since.

Although we still have no idea when we can expect to see another trailer or get a really deep dive, we have at least heard a few things about Yotei recently. In addition to an employment item that confirmed that it is still set for 2025, the recent time bit from a random update to the game's website that was discovered by Twitter user OKAMI13_ earlier today.

The site update does not reveal anything too significantly, but it shares some minor lurks. One of the new information pieces is about the game's protagonist, ATSU, who is said to have risen “from the box on her home”. ATSU is now looking for revenge against those responsible for her family's death and takes on all “odd jobs and bounty” to prepare for her assignment.

But how she struggles, survives and develops The Legend of the Ghost, will be up to you.

The second interesting part of information in the update is about the game's extended program list. We already knew about the double Katanorna, but ATSU will also be able to practice a cousin and Odachi. The cousin was shown briefly in the revealing trailer, but it seems that Odachi, a long Samurai sword, is a whole new information.
