Some are lucky enough to conquer every struggle, but others are not only the luck and suffer from a heartbreaking fate. Let's take a look at what happens to all Hashira and how they end up against the final in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.

What happens to Hashira of the final in Demon Slayer?

At the beginning of Demon Slayer, Hashiras as page characters are rarely seen. As the sections develop, we see their importance more and more as they show their incredible skills.

Many demons, even the upper moons, recognize how powerful Hashiras is because they defy human boundaries with their astonishing abilities and are perhaps the greatest threat to 12 Kizuki and Muzan. Each of these hashiras plays an important role in the final.

Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku

Rengoku is the very first hashira to get a big spotlight and was one of the main characters in the Mugen Train Arc. During their struggle with the lower rank, a demon Enmu managed to rescue countless lives which he remembers this date by other Hashiras and Demon Slayers.

Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho

Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro was considered to be one of the strongest and most talented hashiras in the series even though he was only 14 years old. In the final he is facing Rang One Demon Kokushibo who is also his ancestor. Hashira evokes his demon Slayer mark and succeeds in damaging the lunar breathing hoster to a large extent.

However, Kokushibo ends up with overwhelming and defeating Muichiro. His death was one of the most heartbreaking when he became stabbed through his chest and lost both his arms and legs during this battle. Before his death, however, the injury he handled his light red Nichirin -sword Sanemi and Gyomei the chance to defeat Kokushibo.

Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji

The most happy Hashira, Mitsuri, is no less than a beam of pure sunshine because she constantly cheers others around her with her bright personality. But her fate is quite tragic when she dies during the battle with Muzan Kibutsuji.

In her last moments, however, she acknowledged her love for Obanai Iguro. The last chapter in manganese shows us the reincarnations of both Mitsuri and Iguro, which now runs a bakery together.

The Orm Hashira, Obanai Iguro

Just as Mitsuri, Obanai also suffers from a tragic death during the last battle against Muzan. But he made a big struggle despite losing sight.

Both Mitsuri and Iguro spend their last moments together, and we see them live happily together after they were reincarded in the last chapter of Demon Slayer.

Sten Hashira, Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei Himejima, known as the most powerful Hashira in the present era, turned out to be one of the biggest threats to Muzan during the last battle. His stone breathing contributed a lot during the fight and thanks to his motivation the demon Slayers was able to defeat Muzan. Gyomei was aware of entering this battle meant some death.

He needed to wake his demon Slayer Mark, who would not allow him to live past 25 years. But since he was already 27 years old, he probably wouldn't live much anymore. Despite this, he gave everything during the battle and suffered from fatal injuries that resulted in his end.

The sound hashira, tone uzui

The Flamboyant Hashira who also defeated Demon Gyutaro and Daki in Upper Moon 6, retired after losing an eye and a hand during the battle. That is why he could not participate in the last battle. But despite his retirement, he offered to train Demon Slayer Corps and make them powerful enough to handle the demon king Muzan.

While he had his own fair proportion of problems, his fate was not as heartbreaking as others. He continued to live a peaceful life with retirement with his wives. In the last chapter in manganese, we see his descendant, Tenma Uzui, who stands out a lot on sports.

Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi was one of the very few survivors after the events in Infinity Castle Arc. Although he stopped defeating Kokushibo, he lost a lot during this nightmare of a battle. Wind Hashira ended with losing two of his fingers but nothing was greater than the loss of his very own brother Genya Shinazugawa. Genya was cut in half of the upper rank.

His demon -eating abilities could not help him regenerate, resulting in his tragic ending. While Sanemi managed to live on the other hand, his survival may not mean much because he also developed the Demon Slayer mark during the battle, which meant he would die at the age of 25. In the last chapter, however, a reincarnated Sanemi is seen as a police officer with his brother Genya.

Water hashira tomioka giyuu

Giyuu Tomioka fights with Tanjiro to defeat Akaza and Muzan. In this battle he ends up losing his arm but he remains steady and supports Tanjiro during the fight. Both Giyuu and Sanemi played a crucial role and stopped Muzan from escaping from the battle before sunrise which resulted in his death.

He also developed Demon Slayer Mark, which meant he would die at his 25th birthday. His reincarnated version turns out to be a student, and we also see the reincarnation of Sabito with him. Hashira's fate is really heartbreaking because even those who survived remained with terrible physical and emotional wounds that would be very difficult to recover from. While the demon -free world will give a certain amount of peace to the surviving Hashiras Teng, Sanemi and Tomioka, it is also worth noting that both the wind and water Hashira developed demon brands so that they do not have so long to live. However, the last chapter gives us a little peace after seeing their reincarnations that lead much better life.
