How to get each food recipe

Although it does not come up with its own skill, an important aspect of Stardew Valley Learn each craft and cooking recipes in the game and then use these recipes once each. If you do, you help to complete the Perfection Tracker, even if you haven't reached Qi's Walnörum yet.

Getting recipes is complicated enough – you have to watch the “Queen of Sauce” TV show, become good friends with villagers, even up your skills and sometimes even buy them from stores. All this takes a lot of time, from watching TV every week to giving gifts and chatting with villagers. Finding the ingredients is another challenge, as some are only available in some seasons, others are difficult to find, and some are hidden in dangerous places. Since the Stardew Valley 1.6 update has added a bunch of new content, we have updated this guide with new food recipes so you can cook them and get closer to reach 100% perfection.

The queen of sauce

The most easy way to learn food recipes is to watch a TV show every week called The queen of sauce. The program is broadcast every Sunday and you can watch it at any time during the day. Each new section teaches a new food recipe for the first two years of the game, a total of 32 recipes. Here they are in order:

After year 2, The queen of sauce will begin to repeat their programming in the same order as the sections were first broadcast. Apart from the first week you can catch rounds to The queen of sauce Every Wednesday. These rounds play all previously broadcast episodes of the show, and it is more likely that it does not show recipes that players have not yet unlocked.

Something that is worth noting is that the farmer gets to know cooking recipes even before he buys the first upgrade of the farm that adds a kitchen. This means that there is no reason not to look at The queen of sauce weekly.

Friendship levels

The harder way to earn new recipes is to become friends with everyone in Pelican Town. Almost every character with a friendship rating feels a unique recipe or two, and the only way to learn them is to reach a specific heart level. In most cases, when you reach a certain heart classification with a character, they send you the recipe in the mail the next day.

The one you don't have to do is romance all romance. Only Shane and Emily offer food recipes, and they both end after reaching seven hearts.

Shops and other sources

Friendship rating and The queen of sauce Mostly you go to every food recipe, but there are some more that you have to pick up from stores and skills increases. Some of them overlap with the TV series, but each store has at least one recipe you need to buy from them to complete the set.

When you gain experience with a certain skill (agriculture, mining, feed, fishing or combat) and reach certain level thresholds, you unlock new food recipes. The more active you participate in activities related to that skill, the faster you grow up and the earlier you get access to these culinary creations. For example, the more crops you harvest, the faster your agricultural ability will increase. Please note that some consumables, such as the field snacks and life Elixir, are not counted as food recipes because you do not need to use the kitchen to make them.

Players who learn every last food recipe and then create them will get the chef, sous chef and the gourmet chef's performance, and they will be so much closer to completing the perfection tracker.
