Bloober Team and Konami have announced that their partnership will continue after the success of The Silent Hill 2 remake to work on another project. Although the project has not been revealed yet, the announcement says it will be based on an existing Konami IP.

Given how well the remake performed, two probably collaborate on a new game in the Silent Hill series. There are already a number of Silent Hill projects in the pipeline, and it seems that this partnership can add more to the list.
Bloober Team and Konami collaborate again for a new game
“The confidence built on the success of Silent Hill 2 laid the foundation for signing another agreement for a new project,” the studio said in a press release. “The deal is consistent with the Bloober team's strategic plan to expand its internal development department within a first party framework.”
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said in a statement: “Our collaboration with Konami has been extremely fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience we have been able to create high quality production together.
“Of course, we can't reveal too many details right now, but we are convinced that fans will be as happy about our collaboration as we are. We can't wait to share something really special with players when the time is right.”

It's strange to see two massive games come from series that feel long dormant!
While this new game is likely to be based on Silent Hill, it seems that director Mateusz Lenart is also interested in working with a game around JRR Tolkien's legend. Lenart has said that he once hit a horror game in the Lord of the Rings universe.
On the question during an interview what his dream horror project would be, suggested interviewer Hamidreza Nikoar a Lord of the Rings game, as Lenart replied: “Don't think I didn't hit my ideas around it.”
