Diablo 4 Fans got some bad news recently, when Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported on his Bluesky account that the next extension for Action RPG may not arrive until next year 2026. Originally released back in the summer of 2023, Diablo 4 Promised fans stronger ongoing content, especially in the case of DLC extensions.
Last year the game finally got its first DLC with Hate vessels. DLC's arrival was exciting, as it introduced Nahantu region together with a brand new class, The Spiritborn. Fresh content was exciting, but Hate vessels Also left much to be desired in some aspects. If Jason Schreier's claims are true, it may not be a disappointment to have any DLC to look forward to this year. However, there is the possibility that Blizzard breaks his promised schedule for expansion of extension can actually be more positive news than it sounds.

A long wait for the next Diablo 4 DLC will hopefully make room for an even better expansion
Blizzard is reportedly jumping over 2025
On February 12, Jason Schreier participated in Dice in Las Vegas where he observed a Blizzard panel. Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson apparently confirmed at the panel that the next DLC would not come until an unspecified date 2026. This is unfortunate, since Blizzard had previously promised players that extensions would be announced more often.
A few months after the game was launched, Rod Fergusson claimed that Diablo 4 Would receive annual enlargements and quarterly seasonal updates to keep their momentum after launch. While the game has continued to get its seasonal updates, the obvious lack of a 2025 dlc unfortunately means that Blizzard tramples back on its original plans, which can frustrate many players who expected consistent content. No dlc this year could really rock the boat in Diablo 4 Community. Even worse is that it also risks getting players to lose interest, and to regain their attention can be difficult to achieve after such a long interruption between DLCs. But on the bright side, Blizzard can do this to ensure that what its next extension happens to be is a step up from Hate vessels.
Diablo 4 Is Blizzard's fastest sold games of all time and earns over $ 650 million in just five days.
Improve after the strong start of hate
From a game point of view, Hate vessels Be a good complement to the base game. The Spiritborn class turned out to be a hit, but the expansion's story felt like it just scraped the surface on something bigger. In addition, the lack of a new world boss and controversy around Dark Citadel's co-op method was also low points. Despite the few disadvantages, Hate vessels Was a solid DLC, and if Blizzard is given even more time with his next expansion, a longer wait will hopefully be motivated.
Diablo 4 Is currently in season 7, entitled Season of Witchcraft.

Diablo 4 is facing great competition 2025
Even if Diablo 4'S walk-back on its expansion plans turns out to be worth it, a new DLC will have to come out and turn. Since launch in December last year, Road for exile 2 have made waves as a worthy competitor, and Diablo 4 Side -step extra content that can keep players invested in 2025 is risky. Although Schreier's report seems legitimate, Blizzard has not yet made a complete announcement himself, so the plans can always change. This remains to be seen, but if Diablo 4 Foregoes A DLC launch this year, in 2026 hopefully gives players content worth waiting for.
