However, what they do not realize is that there is a division within the empire. The noblemen and their steadfast greed managed to seize control over most of the empire's military, also known as the Orbital Knights, from the royal family. These people not only want to get rid of the royal family, but they also want to invade the earth. All they need is a motivation to start their all-out attacks. This is where the story begins, with a murder attempt on the first princess of the verses empire which is on a diplomatic assignment to the earth.

Of all series on this list, Full metal panic is the one who feels closest to the real world. After all, history occurs in the modern world, with fractions, motifs and military approaches and strategies that are familiar to most viewers. Yes, there is really mecha in it, but for the most part the series does its best to portray a contemporary world and its many problems that its audience will recognize and understand.

During its high school drama and lighter comedy, fWool metal panic is a story about geopolitical conflicts, black ops warfare and military interventionism. In its heart is an independent paramilitarian organization called Mithril. This organization is ready to carry out secret assignments and military intervention in the name of justice. But it does not take long to realize that Mithril, and other shadow organizations like it, has been influenced by Big Nations to promote their agenda and conduct proxy war worldwide.

Almost every series within Gundam Franchise has a deep element of politics embedded in its Mecha-based warfare. But if viewers want to focus on politics, there is no better place to look than the series that started everything, the original 1979 Mobile costume Gundam. IN Mobile costume Gundam, The Land Association controls all humanity on earth and the many space colonies throughout the universe. Unfortunately, their questionable rules and demands lead to unfair treatment, especially for the people living in the colonies.

It gets so bad that one of the colonies decides to explain independence and change the name of itself. In its attempt to extinguish the uprising, the Earth Association begins an attack that takes the lives of many innocent people in the colonies. In the same way, in its attempt to counteract the federation's forces that are many times greater than them, Resorts Zeon to inhuman tactics that take the lives of many innocent people on earth. So a long and severe conflict begins full of propaganda, storage and death.

Even if Macross Franchise may not be as popular internationally as Gundam Franchise, it is actually one of the oldest Mecha franchise in anime history, with the first series from the beginning of the 80s. Each series in the franchise has its own stories to tell, but most of them have an element of politics that are woven into the story. The one series where politics takes the center is none other than the original 1982 Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

The two fighting fractions are humanity during the UN government (young) and a genetically constructed warrior racially called foreigners called Zentradi. Interestingly, even though they are at war with each other, the two are actually much more equal than they can work. After all, both humanity and Zentradi under authoritarian leadership that prioritize strategic warfare over civil welfare. Not only that, but young people also use culture as a political weapon through wonderful songs and performances designed to distract the people from the real conflict.

Beyond the fascinating view of Eureka seven Main Meecha – Nirvash Typezero – which browses freely and stylishly through heaven, there is a multifaceted story of love, conflict and intense politics between two different species that want to occupy the earth. On the one hand are humanity, the native citizens of the earth who were driven out of their homes and were forced to live in space for centuries.

The deeper the viewers go into the story, the harder it is to decide who is right and wrong, since both parties have lost their fair proportion of blood. Even humanity itself is divided into fractions with different ideas about what the future should look like. There are deaths, storage and propaganda throughout this series, but in its core, Eureka seven is a story about struggles and challenges with coexistence.

A rebellion against tyranny and colonialism

In the world of Code Geass, The great Britannia empire and its overwhelming military strength-spiked by its groundbreaking mecha, known as Knightmare-Framarna-have expanded its territory rapidly all over the world. This ruthless colonization effort gives death and tragedy to the innocent citizens of the countries that are unfortunate enough to be the target of this massive empire.

Thankfully, in the middle of the chaos a hero rises. He is known by his nickname, zero. He leads those who are oppressed by the empire in an uprising that not only manages to hinder the empire's plan, but also destroys some of their strategic attachments. Unfortunately, it does not take long for zero to realize that stubbornly to stick to the righteous path does not allow him to defeat the tyrannical empire.

So to win the war, he begins to use tactics that are as ruthless as the empire. He is willing to sacrifice the few too many. He manipulates both allies and enemies. He engages in fraud and psychological warfare. He doesn't even avoid using propaganda to get public support. For him, the ends motivate the funds. In his quest to overthrow a tyrant, zero slowly becomes yourself.
