Haki is one of the most important powers in the world One Pieceespecially after the time jump, after which the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates continue in the second half of the Grand Line, known as the New World. Haki is a power that takes the spiritual energy of a user and allows them to use it in a variety of ways, be it increasing their sensory perception to the next level, using it as an armor for offensive or defensive purposes, or even completely overwhelming the enemy with spirit alone.
Haki can do everything; however, this power is not easy to master, and only a select few in the world of One Piece manage to access it in the first place. Even among these, only a handful can actually go on to advance their Haki. In the final saga of One Piece, Oda has revealed quite a few skilled users who have managed to develop their Haki, and the best of them can basically defeat almost anyone with their Haki alone.
Monkey D. Luffy
A new emperor of the sea
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
The main character of the series, Monkey D. Luffy, is one of the best users of Haki that fans have seen in One Piece. Luffy's growth with Haki certainly took its time, and he has now become a monster when it comes to harnessing this power. In fact, Luffy is one of the very few individuals who can use all three types of advanced Haki, they are:
-
Observation
-
Arming
-
Conqueror's
Luffy can see the future with his Observation Haki, as well as deal internal damage without contact with his Armament Haki. Of course, as fans know, he can dress himself in the colors of the Supreme King and deal lethal damage to his enemies. However, Luffy's mastery of Haki is not at its peak yet. Luffy still has a lot to learn about Haki, which was hinted at in the Elbaf arc, where Scopper Gaban trained him in this art.
Silver's Rayleigh
The Dark King
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
Pirate King's right arm, Rayleigh, is known to be a fairly skilled user of Haki as well. As expected of someone without a devil fruit, Rayleigh can use all three types of Hakiand his skill in the color of weapons and the color of the Supreme King is very high. Rayleigh is one of the few individuals who can actually use her Armament Haki to damage the enemies inside.
At the same time, the fans know it too Rayleigh can use the powerful color of the Supreme King at a level where he can even intimidate the likes of Blackbeard in his old age. It goes without saying that Rayleigh is terrifyingly powerful and a skilled master of Haki who even managed to teach this skill to Luffy.
Scopper Gaban
The Mountain Eater
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
Scopper Gaban was the Pirate King's left arm and one of the most powerful pirates in the One Piece world at once. Known as the Mountain Eater, Gaban also relied solely on Haki in battleand he is said to be an elite pirate on par with Roger and Rayleigh themselves. Gaban is a user of all three types of Haki, and in his case, he appears to be an exceptional master of observation and the color of the Supreme King.
In fact, Gaban's mastery of both of these arts goes beyond Luffy'sdespite being incredibly old at this point in the story. Gaban is also a very skilled user of Armament Haki, but it is his Color of Supreme King that makes him deadly in battle.
Rocks D. Xebec
The Survivor of the Davy Clan
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
Rocks D. Xebec was known to be one of the most legendary individuals in the One Piece world, and recently Oda finally showed off his powers to fans in the flashback of the Elbaf arc. Rocks was an absolute monster with immense strength up his sleeve, and like Roger, he used Haki in battle.
Rocks was a user of all three types, but it seems his specialty was in the suit of the supreme king. It goes without saying that he could coat his body and weapon with Supreme King Haki, but it wasn't enough for him.
To reach the next level of power, Rocks was able to use his Haki in such a way that he could actually produce powerful shockwaves through his sword, strong enough to knock out his enemies in a single blow. This made Rock's sword attacks particularly famous, and it showed how skilled a Haki user he really was. In fact, with its incredible ability, he could kill an admiral of the marines on extremely low difficulty.
Monkey D. Garp
Hero of the Navy
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
hero of the navy, Garp is known to be an absolute monster when it comes to using Haki. His skill lies in the color of weapons as well as the color of the supreme king. In the Egghead arc, Garp showed off his incredible Color of the Supreme King mastery, but it wasn't until the God Valley flashback, which Oda finally revealed in the Elbaf arc, that fans got to see just how skilled he really was.
During his fight against the Rocks, Garp displayed incredible mastery over the Supreme King's color to a level where he could actually penetrate his Haki defense. This flashback showed that Garp in his prime was an extremely advanced master of Haki. Meanwhile, even at his old age, his total Haki is superior to Luffy's.
Gol D. Roger
The Pirate King
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
The Pirate King, Gold D. Roger relied on Haki as his primary weapon in battle, and Oda has highlighted it time and time again in the story. Roger was a user of all three types of Haki, but his specialty lay in the Color of the Supreme King. In the fight against Rocks, Roger was also able to penetrate his Haki, which was already enhanced by Imu's powers at the time.
On top of that, Roger also had access to the Voice of All Thingsand this is an extremely advanced form of Observation Haki that only a select few individuals seem to have access to. Total, Roger even went on to surpass the level of Rocks D. Xebec in his primeand it shows what a strong individual he really was.
Imu
Sovereign of the world
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
The Sovereign of the World, Imu is quite a skilled user of Hakiand the fans already know that. In the God Valley flashback, fans got a glimpse of Imu's true powers, and it was shocking to see them tank attacks from five Haki masters and come out of it without a single scratch.
Imu's overall Haki mastery is very highand this goes without saying. But fans have yet to see their specializations, if any. Their Conqueror's Haki was shown in God Valley as well as in Elbaf, and it goes without saying that it is one of the strongest that fans have seen in One Piece.
Shanks
Roger's apprentice
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
One of the four emperors of the sea, Shanks is an absolute monster when it comes to using Haki. In fact, in the current era, Shanks might just be the strongest user of Haki that fans have seen. Like his mentor, Roger, Shanks uses Haki in battle, and he specializes in the color of the Supreme King. However, he can also use the advanced forms of the other two Haki types.
Shank's mastery of the Color of the Supreme King is greater than any other character in One Pieceand he can even kill Observation Haki of his enemies with Supreme King Haki, in addition to doing everything else this form of Haki does. It goes without saying that Shanks is an absolute master of Haki, and no other character has advanced this skill as far as he has.
Joy Boy
The former Nika
-
Haki types: suit of arms, suit of observation, suit of the highest king
When it comes to sheer potency in Haki, no one in One Piece can compete with Joy Boy. Oda gave a glimpse of Joy Boy's Haki in the Egghead arc, and in its strongest form it was good enough to completely nullify Imu's powers as well as damage them.
Joy Boy's Haki is special and quite easily the strongest man seen in One Piece, with Shanks being the only one close to that level. So far, much about his Haki and his specialization is unknown, but Oda will surely shed more light on it as One Piece continues.
