Over the years, fans have seen him develop into one of the most refined ninjas when it comes to ninjutsu and dojutsu. In it Boruto Sasuke stood tall next to Naruto as one of the strongest in history. However, it is absolutely undeniable that he has been brought down on many occasions.
In order to allow the plot to progress smoothly and for the next generation to get the shine they deserve, Kishimoto and Ikemoto have nerded out on both Naruto and Sasuke on several occasions. Sasuke has been treated particularly poorly by the writers and had most of his abilities stripped away, for one reason or another. Sharingan's copying ability
Sasuke is the greatest user of the Sharingan in the Boruto series, and that goes without saying. One of the greatest powers The Sharingan is the ability to copy Jutsu from your enemies. Unfortunately, this has become a lost art when it comes to this Uchiha Kekkei Genkai. While Sasuke used to copy a lot of Jutsu in the first part of the Naruto series, now, in Boruto, this power is hardly even relevant. Sasuke almost never tries to copy his enemies' Jutsu.
More than that, the Sharingan can also copy physical movements and fighting styles, which was clearly seen during the Chunin Exams. As such, it should be easy for Sasuke to be able to copy the fighting style of the likes of Otsutsuki, especially considering he has the body to keep up with the moves. Unfortunately, once again, this power has never been used by him, because otherwise he would become far too powerful.
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan's Kagutsuchi
When it comes to the use of Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, his strongest ability is quite easy Kagutsuchi. This ability allows him to take Amaterasu's flames to a whole new level, as with it he can apply shape transformation to them and simply control the black flames. Sasuke can harness the power of the Kagutsuchi with his Sharingan, but he hardly ever uses it in the story.
In the Boruto series, the vast majority of the time Sasuke has used his Mangekyo Sharingan, which has seen him use basic techniques such as Amaterasu from a distance, which are easily absorbed. However, if Sasuke were to harness the power of the Kagutsuchi instead and use it in clever ways, such as by coating his sword in it or by using it while engaging in hand-to-hand combat, he can easily inflict mortal damage on his enemies and incinerate them completely. Unfortunately, to keep the enemies at an advantage, Sasuke's Kagutsuchi has become seriously nerfed.
Total Jutsu Arsenal
Sasuke is one of the most skilled users of Ninjutsu throughout Naruto's world. In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that in Boruto's current world, Sasuke might just be the most experienced user of Ninjutsu, and much of that is due to his Sharingan, with which he can copy a plethora of abilities. Sasuke is a master of all five natures and has probably copied thousands of Jutsu over the years.
Unfortunately, he almost never uses any techniques in battle. Sasuke has a plethora of powerful skills up his sleeve, but the one he relies on the most is his Chidori, and sometimes Amaterasu. It's almost as if his Jutsu arsenal hasn't improved even a little in the Boruto series, especially after years of fighting on the front lines outside. This is another great skill of Sasuke Uchiha that has been severely toned down in Boruto.
Rinnegan's Deva Path
It's no surprise to know that Sasuke had the power of the Rinnegan for the vast majority of the Boruto series. Still, even before this power was taken from him completely, Sasuke barely ever used it in battle. The most Sasuke used it for was to teleport himself with Amenotejikara, or to open portals to different dimensions.

The six paths that the Rinnegan offered would have been extremely helpful, but Sasuke almost never used them. For example with the power of the Deva PathSasuke could easily control the movements of his enemies, either by restraining them or by pulling them towards him. He was also able to use powerful jutsu like Chibaku Tensei more often, but as has been made clear in the story, this power has been taken away from him completely. He is almost never allowed to fully utilize the abilities of his eye.
The human path of the Rinnegan
The human path of the Rinnegan is quite easily one of the most underrated abilities. With this power, Sasuke can essentially rip the souls out of his enemies by destroying them. With this power he should be able to shoot the vast majority of enemies he encounters, but Sasuke almost never uses this power. To him, it's almost like it doesn't even exist in the Boruto series. To prevent Sasuke from becoming an unstoppable force, the writers of Boruto had to nerd him out in a way where he never used those Rinnegan abilities.
Naraka Path of the Rinnegan
Another incredibly underrated ability the Rinnegan offered Sasuke was the use of The Naraka Road. Using this ability, Sasuke was able to summon the King of Hell and use it for interrogation. Considering he went on many missions, this ability would have come in handy, but more importantly, the fact that Naraka Path can also be used for full restoration.

This means that if Sasuke was ever seriously injured in battle, he could simply step into the Hell King and come out fresh, as if he never received an injury in the first place. This is basically a magical technique from the Rinnegan that would allow Sasuke to continue fighting at full capacity, but since it's such a broken ability, it had to be nerfed.

Rinnegan's Preta Path
Sasuke Uchiha is also a user of The Preta path through the Rinneganallowing him to absorb any form of chakra launched at him, as long as it is tangible. Yet, for some reason, Sasuke almost never uses this power.
Had this ability not been nerfed, Sasuke would have been practically invincible as he could easily absorb jutsu with massive amounts of chakra, and then power himself up that way. Again, the Boruto series took this ability away from him.
Rinnegan's Asura Path
Quite easily, one of the biggest nerfs Sasuke got was his Asura path taken from him. Using the power of the Asura Path, Sasuke would make use of mechanical appendages and do things like replace his lost arm in battle, which would give him a huge advantage. Sasuke was even able to produce other weapons from his body and crush all of his enemies with ease.
Again, this would give Sasuke an unfair advantage and make it nearly impossible for him to be defeated in the Boruto series. Because of that reason, his power was diminished. At the end of the day, the truth is that the Rinnegan is simply a broken eye, whose powers cannot be understood even in the Boruto series. If Sasuke were to use the Rinnegan without any restrictions, he would easily become the strongest and easily defeat even the likes of Otsutsuki. Because of that reason, he has become very nervous.
