Akatsuki consisted of some very powerful ninjas i Naruto. All of them were considered to be S-ranked mercenaries who came from different parts of the world. Akatsuki was strong enough to fight even the likes of Kage and beat Tailed Beasts in battle in some cases.
8 Strong Characters Who Overpowered Naruto, Ranked
The following characters managed to overpower Naruto, at least temporarily!
Their ranks consisted of monsters, such as Nagato and even Itachi Uchiha. Although it is strong, Akatsuki pales in comparison to some downright monstrous creatures that appear later in the story. In fact, some Naruto the characters are so strong that they can solo the entire Akatsuki without any major problems at all.
Hashirama Senju
Hashirama Senju was Konoha's first Hokage and most certainly a monster in his own right. With the power of Wood Release and Sage Mode, Hashirama was so strong that he could compete with both Kurama and Madara Uchiha at the same time and win. Madara Uchiha himself was strong enough to fight the Five Kage at once despite holding back. Hashirama, surpassing him in power, could easily take on all of Akatsuki all by himself. The fact that he has a huge chakra pool and almost infinite healing without any hand signs works wonders in his favor.
Minato Namikaze (KCM)
Minato Namikaze is Konoha's Fourth Hokage can quite easily be one of the strongest characters of all. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, he reached a new level by becoming the Jinchuriki of the Yin half of Kurama. Minato, with Kurama's powers, was strong enough to fight and beat anyone without 10 Tails level powers. Akatsuki would be handled quite easily by him.
Maybe guy
Konoha's Noble Blue Beast, Might Guy was an absolute monster in terms of strength and one of the strongest when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. With the power of the eight inner gates, Guy was strong enough to fight on par with Six Paths Madara. Anyone strong enough to do so can easily dismantle Akatsuki. The fact that he one-shotted Kisame in the seventh gate is proof of that.
Madara Uchiha
When it comes to monsters that would absolutely dismantle the Akatsuki, Madara truly ranks among the very best. Even without the Six Paths powers, Madara would be hard for Akatsuki to beat. However, taking into account his Six Paths form, it is impossible for Akatsuki to even hurt him, let alone beat him. He would solo them all right away.
Kakashi Hatake (DMS)
Kakashi Hatake temporarily reached a very high level of power when he inherited The Six Paths chakra of Obito Uchiha and his twin Mangekyo Sharingan. With this power, he was able to fight evenly against and even overpower Kaguya Otsutsuki, which is a testament to the fact that he would demolish all of Akatsuki by himself.

Sasuke Uchiha, at his peak, was strong enough to fight the likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki. He continued to exceed his own limits after the Ninja War and gained even stronger powers. Sasuke is one of the strongest ninjas in the entire world and even Madara Uchiha can't beat him, Akatsuki wouldn't stand a chance.
Naruto Uzumaki
Just like Sasuke, Naruto is one of the strongest ninjas in the entire world. With the power of Kurama, an almost infinite chakra pool, and the power of the Six Pathshe is almost unbeatable in battle. Even Sasuke couldn't beat him with the Tailed Beasts at his disposal. Akatsuki would be extremely easy for him to take down with his Six Paths Sage Mode.
Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya is the strongest character in the Naruto series and someone who dwarfs even Madara, Naruto and Sasuke in comparison. Her powers were absolutely immense. She could enslave the entire world and even destroy an entire dimension if she wanted to. Akatsuki would be like insects for her to crush and there is absolutely no competition in a battle between them.
