Devil Fruit powers play an important role in determining a character's power i One Piece. While not the only deciding factor, possession of a good fruit undeniably puts a character well ahead of others. Ace and Sabo's Mera Mera no Mi is a prime example of that.
Mera Mera no Mi, also known as Flame-Flame Fruit, allows its eater to conjure and turn their entire body into fire. Not only does it provide an explosive offensive ability, but it also makes the user invulnerable to non-Haaki physical attacks. As such, only a few Devil Fruit abilities can rival it in terms of power and versatility.

Hie Hie no Mi or Ice-Ice Fruit
When it comes to competing with Mera Mera no Mi, Kuzan's Hie Hie no Mi is one of the first powers that comes to mind. Much like its fiery counterpart, it is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create, control, and transform into a natural element. Only in this case it's ice instead of fire. This parallel alone makes the two abilities natural opposites on the battlefield.
But without a doubt, Ice-Ice Fruit has a better range, especially in a world made up mainly of water. Kuzan has shown the power of the fruit on several occasions, but the most memorable is definitely when he froze Whitebeard's tsunami at Marineford.
Yuki Yuki no Mi or the snow-snow fruit
Another natural rival to Mera Mera no Mi is Yuki Yuki no Mi, which was consumed by Monet. It's another Logia, though this one gives the eater power over snow. Monet used it in Punk Hazard to generate layers upon layers of snow strong enough to keep even Zoro's powerful slashes at bay.
Although Monet did not show as strong offensive power as Aokiji, it could be argued that the difference lies between the users and not the fruits themselves. After all, Monet's strength lies in her knowledge and not her fighting ability.
Gasu Gasu no Mi or Gas-Gas Fruit
Gasu Gasu no Mi is undoubtedly a powerful Devil Fruit. Giving whoever ate it the power to manipulate gas, including oxygen, makes it incredibly difficult to counter. It also allows the user to conjure up a highly toxic gas, as well as transform into the substance.

However, it is not omnipotent. It has a number of weaknesses. First, the user only has control over a limited range. Another is the fact that the poison gas Caesar conjures is highly flammable, giving Mera Mera no Mi a huge advantage over it.
Pika Pika no Mi or Light-Light Fruit
While Mera Mera no Mi focuses more on destructibility, Pika Pika no Mi focuses more on speed. Its user can move at the speed of light and unleash laser-based attacks that can devastate targets in an instant. As a Logia, there is also the typical invulnerability to attacks without being embedded with Haki.
Given that there is no direct comparison between the two Devil Fruits, it is difficult to decide which one is better. In the end, it can just boil down to preference.

Although Devil Fruit powers come in different types, some powers are simply stronger versions of others. Oda used both Mera Mera no Mi and Magu Magu no Mi to convey this fact to One Piece fans. After all, it is the same Devil Fruit that killed Ace.

When it comes to powerful Devil Fruits, Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi Moderu Nika can no longer be left out. Even though it's a Zoan Devil Fruit and not a Logia Devil Fruit like Mera Mera no Mi, its power can make even Ace and Sabo's fruit look like a joke, literally.
What was thought to be a simple rubber ability turns out to be a broken power. Upon Awakening, Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika allows the user to transform into the Sun God and use her reality-altering abilities. It allows the eater to use their imagination to manipulate their environment, including their enemies, as they see fit. For example, Luffy has used this ability to turn the powerful and terrifying Kaido into a jump rope.
