Synders is the fifth film by Ryan Coogler and also happens to be his fifth collaboration with Michael B. Jordan. The duo shoots on all cylinders here, with both fantastic direction and actors, not to mention other technical aspects of the film, all of which are very impressive.

Fruitvale Station (2013)
Rotten tomatoes: 94 percent
Ryan Coogler debuted feature film with Fruitvale Station, and it is one of the best directing debuts from recent times. This movie is very personal, almost like a memory that turned into a movie. It is based on the real story of Oscar Grant, a young man who was wrongly killed by a police officer.
Michael B. Jordan plays Grant, and this was his biggest and best role since he is the lead role in several episodes of The Wire as a teenager. Of course, this was also the beginning of Coogler and Jordan as a dynamic duo, who continued with Creed.
7
True Grit (2010)
Rotten tomatoes: 95 percent
Hailee Steinfeld debuted her actor in Coen Brothers Dirty Western, True Grit, and, impressive, was nominated for an Oscar in a supportive role. Sinners is probably the best live-action movie she has been in since then, and even the first time you hear her with a southern accent then.
In the movie, she plays a smart and tough child chasing her father's killer. It is a Western, but not your usual type, which is more grounded and really focused on great character work. The dialogue in this movie is super sharp, and Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin exhibit all fantastic performances.
6
Da 5 bloods (2020)
Rotten tomatoes: 92 percent
Da 5 Bloods is very different from sinners, but it's still worth watching. It is about four black war veterans who go back to Vietnam to find their old troop leader residues, along with a little buried gold. Spike Lee directed it, and his signature style shines here.

The top 10 vampire films
Movies to sink your teeth in.
The film is shifted between the past and the present, and it handles things like trauma, loyalty and what war does to humans. Delroy Lindo, who also plays in sinners, gives an amazing leading performance here. There is also this feeling of anger and sadness that is linked to sinners.
5
Nosferatu (2024)
Rotten tomatoes: 84 percent
If you are in fear and vampires but want something different, Robert Eggers Nosferatu may be your thing. It is a new recording of the old quiet film, but Eggers makes it scary in a really strange and neat way and utilizes its signature period style.
If you have seen his other movies like The Witch, The Lighthouse and The Northman, you know what you get. It is sometimes slower, but it has a big haunting atmosphere. It is eerie, artistic and looks absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to its realistic lighting.
4
Django Unchained (2012)
Rotten tomatoes: 87 percent
Django Unchained is a great revenge western, and it does not hide its spaghetti-Western influence, but it has enough Tarantino style to make it stand out from other films in the genre. You have great performances from everyone here, especially Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The film's story is obviously very violent and intense, with slavery and racism as a big part of it. The themes for race, power and freedom also overlap sinners. It also looks absolutely fantastic, one of the nicest Westerners ever made, rival close by Tarantino's own The Hateful Eight.
3
Nope (2022)
Rotten Tomatoes: 83 percent
Both Ryan Coogler and Jordan Peele have some parallels, both start their director's trips in the 2010s and have only a few films, but each of them is very acclaimed and handles themes for race and introspective character stories. Jordan Peele's Nope is some of his best works, and a completely different experience when he looked in Imax, just like sinners.

The best games that let you play like a vampire
If you like a little vampirism in your role -playing experiences, don't say any more! Here are the best games that let you play a vampire.
The color rating is fantastic and makes the few cases of bright colors really appear against the desert fate. It is a very subversive UFO/Alien thriller, and the third act of switches and turns into a real spectacle in a meta-narrative way.
2
A girl goes alone home at night (2014)
Rotten tomatoes: 96 percent
A girl goes home alone at night is an indie vampire movie that is very different and grounded. It is an Iranian production, shot in black and white, with a very low budget. The result is something that feels so engrossing and real.
The protagonist is a calm vampire girl who sprinkles on a ghost town but does not switch on everyone she encounters. It is very mood and does not really follow a normal plot, but it feels thorough as a fantastic movie experience that can also feel a little uncomfortable sometimes.
1
Green Book (2018)
Rotten Tomatoes: 77 percent
The green book has more of a mainstream vibe, but themes meet close, and it is still a fantastic watch. Green Book is about a black pianist named Don Shirley who goes on tour through Deep South in the 1960s and forms a large band with his driver slash.
While the film is about jazz music and not blues as in sinners, history and character development are simple but emotional and convincing. Black music and southern history play a big role here, and this movie shows another but related page. Mahershala Ali gives a prominent performance that deserving won him an Oscar.
