7 characters who can lead their own series

One of the main concerns in Boruto is its tendency to neglect characters other than Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha and their legendary parents. Understandably, the shonen manga has a massive cast made up of old and new faces, making it difficult for Kishimoto and Ikemoto to give each character the screen time or exposure they deserve.

The fact that Boruto Uzumaki isn't the only one getting attention from fans suggests that Boruto hides characters with the creation of an ideal protagonist. These characters are compelling enough to star in their own spinoff series. With their unique jutsu, personal struggles, and backstories, they deserve to carry their own manga or anime.

Naruto: Why Kishimoto needs to make a prequel to Boruto

Boruto is a disappointing sequel. Naruto has potential for a prequel to Boruto.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki gives information about his clan

As part of the elusive Otsutsuki clan, Momoshiki's character hides a wealth of knowledge about his clan's secrets and origins. No one knows where they came from or why they possess abilities that can change the course of the world. All they do is jump from one planet to another, devour chakra fruits and implant karma seals in their vessels.

Aside from Momoshiki's clan, his character is intriguing enough to explore. He is evil incarnate, and his hatred for Boruto Uzumaki and the rest of humanity is on a whole other level. This rough personality makes fans curious about the origin of his malice and if there is more to him than meets the eye, just like the Nine Tails, Kurama.

Kashin Koji is Jiraiya 2.0 but different

From the beginning, Kashin Koji has always been an intriguing character due to his familiar appearance. Back then, everyone thought he was the same Jiraiya who died at the hands of Pain in the Hidden Rain village. Fans celebrated his return, only to find out that he was just a clone created by Amado Sanzu using Jiraiya's DNA.

Besides Kashin Koji's appearance, his abilities are also intriguing. He awakened a shinjutsu called Prescience that gave him foresight, thus gaining visions of multiple futures. He may have been helping Boruto with his visions for quite some time now, but he seems to be hiding his true intentions. With that in mind, Kashin Koji is a man of mystery who feels fit for a spin-off centered around his origins, secret agenda, and the future he's trying to change.

Eida's past is unexplored

Eida is yet another humanoid cyborg that Amado Sanzu and Isshiki Otsutsuki got rid of simply because she awakened broken abilities that are far too difficult to control. Her shinjutsu, Omnipotence, is the strongest there is, and for some reason no one, except those with Otsutsuki blood and those she unknowingly left out, is immune to it.

Fans know all about Eida's abilities and how they work, including her Charm and Senrigan, but the time before Amado modified her body contains untold stories. Additionally, her desire for love and friendship added a human layer to her character that many fans are eager to understand and explore.

Himawari Uzumaki's new identity requires clarification

From the moment Himawari was introduced as the incarnation of the Nine Tails, Kurama, fans were intrigued not only by the mystery behind her birth but also by the terrifying potential of her future power. How could a charming child like Himawari have such destructive power?

Himawari was meant to be a gentle presence in the Uzumaki household, but the latent power she carries easily makes her a vital asset in the Leaf Village. On top of that, she carries the Uzumaki and Hyuga blood in her veins, giving her character just the right ingredients to stand out. All that's left is to give her a spin-off to further explore her growth as a Konoha ninja and partner to Kurama.

Mitsuki is a complex character

Mitsuki is one of the most complex characters in Boruto, who are always grappling with questions about their identity, purpose and origin. His relationship with Orochimaru warrants a separate story that may shed more light on his past, as well as the experiments the Sannin have done on him.

In a nutshell, Mitsuki has the makings of an ideal main character. He has an exciting past and his future goals are still uncertain. All he does is follow his personal sun, Boruto, but his own journey towards self-discovery is still undercooked in the series.

Jura's human habits are fascinating

The strongest of the Shinju clones, Jura gives off main character vibes due to his origins, habits, instincts, and abilities. While fans are aware of Code's involvement in Jura's birth, the fact that the origins of the young Ten-Tails remain a mystery only adds to the allure of his character.

That's not all, as Jura often shows the human side to him, which is fascinating to watch. He is not only a villain with destructive impulses but an intriguing character who can conflict emotions. Instead of asking for power, he tries to understand people and the world they live in.

Sakura Haruno needs more attention

Unlike Naruto and Sasuke, Sakura rarely enjoys the limelight Boruto. Since assuming the position of director of Konoha's hospital, she rarely gets the chance to show off her monstrous strength and abilities. Instead of giving her exposure, the series often sidelines her, almost as if she doesn't possess the incredible power and intellect that made her one of Konoha's strongest kunoichi.

With the current direction of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, it's probably the perfect time to give Sakura the attention she deserves. In Sasuke and Naruto's absence, the manga or another series should propel Sakura forward, giving her the chance to fill the void left by her friends.
