You can only generate one map seed in Anno 117 in Endless modewhere you have complete control over where you start your game, which rivals you have nearby and how difficult your game will be.
To use the suggested map seeds below, select Endless modeand then select your Difficulty. For these map seeds we use Advanced difficulty. If you choose a different difficulty, your map layout will be similar, but your starting island may be different.
Go to The game world to change the map settings and enter the map seed number. The most important thing to remember about generating maps in Anno 117 is that they don't have a lot of variation in layout. The differences really come from map typethe resources the islands provide, and the difficulty settings you choose.
Try different island types and see which ones you prefer to play on, as they offer slightly different strategies.
You can decide what island type you spawn into, with each offering a slightly different layout:
- Atoll: islands are placed around the edges of the map, with a large body of water in the middle.
- Archipelago: there are four centrally located, larger islands with smaller islands near the edge.
- Tear: this layout provides two separate hemispheres, but is similar to an Atoll layout.
- Corner: large islands have been created in each corner, with a few smaller islands scattered in the middle.
- Island chain: a chain of islands running through the center of the map.

Albion can be a damp and dreary place, and it always seems to rain. This map seed gives you one small island near an allywith a large space between you and another trading partner. Other small islands are scattered the edges, with some potential trading partner or enemies that are there.
This map takes a lot of work to be successful, especially with Scathatch just a stone's throw away. Diplomatic relations are a mustand some very clever trade deals must be made to ensure your island's population grows and expands to other islands nearby.
Your island is fertile with Herbs, Saltworth, Small Birdsand Copper; unfortunately, none of that is particularly needed by your current allies. Build your relationships to ensure you secure the best deals and generate some revenue!

To get started with your game comfortably, a large archipelago map seed is an excellent choice. This Latium map starts you off on one of the four large islands in the center of the map, with rivals nearby on equally large islands that can offer trade deals rich in useful resources.
Your ally is on a small island to the east, with a trade request for pigs, which allows you to farm and export regularly. To save on producing lumber, you can import from the ally instead, leaving your land free to produce more expensive materials.
This island is fertile in Lavender, Grape, Flax, Murex Snails, Ironand Gold Orewith river and mountain locations in a large number of spaces.

Your play island is fertile with Mackerel, Grape, Flax, Disturb, Ironand Gold Ore. The fertility of the fishery means you have more space on the mainland for farming and production of other items, with river and mountain openings for metal mining.

The seeds of the crack map are interesting as they are divided directly into two hemisphereswith an empty strip of water in the middle. You have allies nearby, with a couple of potential trading partners on the other side.
What makes this interesting is the danger in the empty central room. Two trading partners are across that space, and right near one enemy island powered by the volatile Scathatch. Every time your ships make that journey, they run the risk of encountering ships from Voada Island.
As risky as it can be, it is balanced by fertile resources of your island. There you can grow Herbs or raise Small birds and Ponies. There are also plenty of mining opportunities, with which the mountains and rivers abound Iron, Copperand Silver. Invest your winnings in one durable battle fleetand the entire map should quickly be under your control.
