6 Strongest Characters Sasuke has never fought

Over the course of hundreds of anime episodes, Naruto gave its main characters plenty of opportunity to fight whoever they wanted. Naruto Uzumaki faced an amazing array of enemies, from Zabuza and Neji in the early days to the Six Paths of Pain and Obito Uchiha. Naruto's longtime rival Sasuke Uchiha also clashed with a long line of enemies, some of which he shared with Naruto, such as Kaguya Otsutsuki and Gaara of the Sand.

Sasuke also traded blows with jinchuriki like Killer Bee and Kage like Mei Terumi, but there are a few other enemies that Sasuke never directly fought in a meaningful way. Of course, Sasuke never fought someone who was already dead in the main anime, like Hashirama Senju or the Third Kazekage, but there were plenty of living breathing shinobi who never felt Sasuke's wrath on the battlefield. Thus Naruto fandom is interested in knowing what might have happened if they fought or thought why Sasuke never fought these characters.

Jiraiya didn't fight his student's friend turned enemy

Of the three Sannin, Sasuke only fought against his own master, Orochimaru. Fans might hardly even call it a real fight, with Sasuke throwing himself at a weakened Orochimaru to absorb him and break out of their master-student relationship. As for the other Sannin, Sasuke simply didn't trade blows with them, even when Jiraiya was Sasuke's enemy on paper.

Given Sasuke's hostility towards Jiraiya's student Naruto and the Hidden Leaf Village, Naruto Shippuden viewers might have expected such a showdown to occur, but it did not. As for the hypothetical outcome, Sasuke would probably have lost to Jiraiya in most phases of Narutos overall story, given Jiraiya's vast experience and powerful moves like Sage Mode and summoning Gamabunta. However, Endgame Sasuke would have had a better chance if such a fight ever took place.

Kisame Hoshigaki did not seriously fight the Uchiha brothers

Kisame could counter Sasuke the same way he could have denied Itachi

Sasuke was pitted against some members of the Akatsuki gang, with his own brother Itachi being the prime example. Sasuke also fought the explosive Deidara to the finish, though he never took on Kisame Hoshigaki. Such a fight would not have been easy for Sasuke, win or lose, in part because Kisame boasts titanic power as the tailless biju.

Akatsuki are powerful, but these characters have managed to defeat at least one of their members in Naruto.

Above all, Kisame is an anti-jutsu ninja, which is why he was assigned as Itachi's partner. With Samehada's ability to tap into chakra, Kisame is ideal for countering jutsu-heavy characters like the Uchiha brothers. Sharingan, Chidori, Fireball Jutsu and the like don't stand much of a chance against Kisame. In a contest of physical strength, Sasuke has a better chance than Itachi would, although Kisame still has the advantage with his astounding strength, durability, and chakra reserves.

Tsunade was Sasuke's enemy but never seriously fought him

Eventually, Sasuke and Tsunade shared an enemy in Kaguya Otsutsuki

Sasuke has fought a number of Kage in battle, from the ruthless Raikage known as A to the Tsuchikage and Mizukage, but he has not seriously fought any Hokage. Thus, Naruto fans still don't know what would happen if Sasuke dueled Tsunade properly, the legendary Sannin became Hokage. She was Sasuke's enemy on paper, along with Jiraiya, but it didn't result in a major fight between them.

It's hard to say who would win this matchup, because while Sasuke has assets like the Mangekyo Sharingan and Chidori, Tsunade has expert-level medical jutsu, Katsuyu's summoning, and decades of experience in chakra-enhanced taijutsu. Depending on the phase of NarutoTsunade may have defeated Sasuke quite easily, but fortunately for both characters, they never really fought.

Maybe the guy would love the challenge of fighting Sasuke

Naruto fans will never forget the brutal showdown of talent vs. hard work in the Chunin Exam Arc. Gaara only used jutsu and jinchuriki powers while Rock Lee was all about taijutsu, and fans want to see more versions of that. Might Guy's various battles helped itch, but a Might Guy vs Sasuke throwdown would have been even better than what fans actually got.

Sasuke isn't sloppy with taijutsu seeing as how he borrowed some of Rock Lee's moves in the Chunin Exams, but he relies even more on ninjutsu and genjutsu, from Chidori to Susanoo. It's a real challenge for Might Guy himself, who can push taijutsu much further than Rock Lee can. With one gate after another open, Might Guy was able to push Sasuke to the limit, pushing Sasuke to use every bit of his cunning to stay in the fight.

The Six Paths of Pain fought Naruto and Jiraiya, but not Sasuke

This would be an incredible Dojutsu showdown to see

Both Naruto and his late mentor Jiraiya faced off against the Six Paths of Pain in battle, with Naruto being the one to finally lay the memorable villain low. Pain had the advantage of his versatile jutsu and the power of the Rinnegan, which proved to be equal to the Sharingan and stronger than the Byakugan in the dojutsu department. Naruto also had to deal with Preta Path's ability to absorb jutsu, not unlike Samehada.

Thus, the Six Paths of Pain would prove to be a serious threat even to the likes of Sasuke Uchiha, a ninja smarter and trickier than Naruto. Even Naruto needed some help taking the pain away, and Naruto fans know how much Sasuke likes to do everything himself. Sasuke's best jutsu would fight against this villain, though his Sharingan insights would give him a much needed angle to pursue a possible victory.

Hiruzen Sarutobi could teach sasuke with new jutsu

Hiruzen Sarutobi is another Hokage that Sasuke never fought. This is mainly because during Hiruzen's lifetime, Sasuke simply had no reason to fight him, with Sasuke being a loyal citizen of the Hidden Leaf Village until after Hiruzen's death at Orochimaru's hands. As for Hiruzen's abilities, he is still competitive even Naruto Shippuden standards in light of his extensive experience and his large arsenal of jutsu.

There are good reasons why Hiruzen Sarutobi was known as the “Professor of Jutsu”, and he would prove it if he survived to reach Naruto Shippuden in the era of Sasuke's villainy. As of the Five Kage Summit Arc, Sasuke was strong enough to make his victory over Hiruzen likely, though defeating this 'Professor' Hokage would still not be easy or quick.
