In a series full of powerful heroes and villains, All Might still manages to emerge as the strongest of the bunch. Prime All Might was a force to be reckoned with. As strong as All For One was, All Might was definitely the more powerful of the two before Deku's story entered My Hero Academia kicked off. But as the series continued, All Might gradually became less relevant as a fighter.
At the end of the manga, the old guard that fans became familiar with throughout the series' run was replaced by a new generation of heroes. While not necessarily stronger than All Might was in his prime, this new generation is more than capable of carrying on All Might's legacy.
Lemillion – No.1 ranked Pro Hero
Nighteye's intended heir comes out on top
It's easy to see why Sir Nighteye wanted Lemillion to succeed All Might. His cheerful demeanor and fighting spirit are very reminiscent of All Might's hero persona, and his powerful quirk would have made a great addition to One For All. But when Deku got the nod over him, Lemillion had to go his own way.
Despite losing his quirk while trying to save Eri during the Shie Hassaikai raid, Lemillion manages to regain his powers during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc. In the time between the finale and the epilogue, Lemillion seems to have lived up to his old mentor's expectations, managing to take the top spot on the Hero Billboard Chart JP that All Might held for so long.
Mt. Lady – The #3 ranked pro hero
A larger than life personality to go with her quirkiness
One of the first heroes introduced in the series, Mt. Lady really leaves an impression on those around her. While her Gigantification quirk makes her hard to ignore, it's her personality that really makes her stand out. Most people would associate heroes with virtuous qualities, but Mt. Lady's ambitions are a bit more self-serving. She is incredibly selfish, somewhat lazy and obsessed with the fame and attention that comes with being a professional hero.
These aren't the best qualities to have as a hero, but it seems her hunger for fame and desire to be successful pays off big in the epilogue. Mt. Lady retains the number 3 spot on the Hero Billboard Chart JP, having shot up from the 23rd spot she occupied before the timeskip. Her motivation may not have been great, but she turned out to be a great hero.
Shoto – No.2 ranked Pro Hero
Endeavor's legacy lives on in his son
Fans could tell Shoto was destined for big things since his introduction early in the manga. Despite a tumultuous childhood, Shoto managed to overcome his problems as a student at UA High School and emerged from the final war as one of the most promising future hero prospects.
After the final war, Shoto takes over his father's agency and gradually begins to step out of his shadow. His efforts earn him the number 2 spot on the Hero Billboard Chart JP – the spot that Endeavor occupied for much of the series.
Deku – No.4 ranked Pro Hero
All Might's Legacy lives on
Fans had a lot to say about how Deku's journey ended at the end of it My Hero Academia manga. While the epilogue made some fans happier than others, some felt that the show's main character never reached his full potential. At the end of the series, Deku is left uncomfortable due to his intense battle with Shigaraki. Now a teacher who devotes his time to shaping the next generation of heroes, Deku's new role fits his personality and character well.
Thanks to his former classmates, Deku is given an armored suit similar to the one All Might wore during the final war by the man himself, allowing him to once again live out his dream of becoming a professional hero. Deku manages to make the most of this new chance and manages to become the #4 ranked pro hero during the epilogue. With plenty of experience using multiple quirks thanks to his time with One For All, Deku can effectively make the most of his suit and be on par with regular quirk users.
Bakugo – No.5 ranked Pro Hero
A once one-dimensional character goes a long way
It is not surprising to see that each of Class 1-A's top three students would become the best heroes of their generation by the end of the story. But Bakugo's most impressive feat isn't reaching the top 5 in the hero rankings according to the epilogue. Instead, most fans love him because of how much he has developed as a character.
Although his explosive personality is still there, Bakugo became a much more considerate, conscientious person as the series went on. The strong bonds he formed as a student definitely influenced him for the better, as he stands as one of the most successful of his UA classmates. As the one who managed to best All For One, Bakugo proved to be one of the strongest heroes by the end of the series and that seems to have carried over into his professional hero career.
